US Fertility physicians raise $77,000 to support the 1 in 6 experiencing infertility

Six physicians completed the Jungfrau Marathon to benefit the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation

LOS ANGELES, CA – Six physicians from US Fertility have raised $77,000 in support of the 1 in 6 people who will face infertility during their lifetime. The funds were raised through a US Fertility campaign launched in conjunction with their participation in the Jungfrau Marathon in Interlaken, Switzerland. All proceeds will go to the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping families overcome infertility.

The Cade Foundation provides fertility grants to eligible patients in need of financial assistance. Funds raised by the US Fertility physician team will help fund IVF cycles for individuals and couples who are accepted for treatment grants through the Cade Foundation.

“We often say in our practice that infertility is not a sprint to the finish line, but more like a marathon – with many unexpected twists, turns, and obstacles along the way,” said Kate Devine, M.D., Medical Director and Chief Research Officer at US Fertility. “As physicians, we wanted to do something meaningful for our patients, to honor the strength we see in them as they embark on their infertility journey. Running this marathon together, our goal was to bring awareness to the 1 in 6 and highlight the courage and dedication our patients exhibit as they pursue their dreams of parenthood.”

The US Fertility physicians who completed the marathon included:

  • Kate Devine, M.D. – Shady Grove Fertility

  • Alexander Quaas, M.D., Ph.D. – Shady Grove Fertility

  • Joseph Doyle, M.D. – Shady Grove Fertility

  • Cassandra Roeca, M.D. – Shady Grove Fertility

  • Phillip Romanski, M.D., M.Sc. – RMA of New York

  • Ravi Agarwal, M.D. – RSC Bay Area

This initiative is part of an ongoing collaboration between US Fertility and Cade Foundation, whose mission is to provide education, outreach, and financial assistance to families affected by infertility. For nearly two decades, Shady Grove Fertility has partnered with the Cade Foundation to support patients in need.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with the US Fertility team in a unique way to advocate for patients in need and raise awareness about the disease of infertility,” said Camille T.C. Hammond, M.D., M.P.H., CEO, and founder of the Cade Foundation. “For nearly 20 years, the Cade Foundation has worked with advocates like Shady Grove Fertility and US Fertility to support and provide financial assistance to families facing infertility.”
